The music is strangely out of place, the acting is outrageous and forced...and I loved it. I personally believe that God gifts each person with natural talents, some of which are very prevalent. Especially the well-known Immortal vocals, with the somewhat groovy style of Enslaved (black metally speaking) and the crunchiness of the Gorgoroth bass, and Immortal guitars. After those bands either splitting up, or having years between releases, to my great surprise I saw this album on the shelves while I was overseas in France.
I will buy and read any future books Tyler writes as his understandings progress. If you watch his show or are curious about his abilities, you will enjoy the book. The controls in ALTER are simple and touchscreen-friendly.
It gave me a good understanding of how information comes through to a medium, what to expect duing a good reading and how to respond during a reading. Now I need to watch his show! While I don't have a lot of experience with death/black metal, I have heard a lot of it and I can't really decide whether or not I would include "I" in that genre. The catchiness of the songs does not take away from the “metal” qualities of the music, but rather adds to them with a somewhat 80’s feel that is reminiscent of many great bands of that time. Nic Cage at his best. And how he then went on to learn more about what it was, how he could understand it better and hone it to receive more clearly, etc. I have long been interested in, and a fan of, this subject matter. "Between Worlds" is a lame film with terrible and messy melodrama, awful acting of Nicolas Cage and unnecessary long sex scenes. I love the book and Tyler's honest, down-to-earth approach to his gift and the spirit world.
Shelves: memoir, spirituality. Hilarious. I know there is an afterlife and my loved ones who have passed are with me.

But alas, I’m still struck by the riffs and leads; merciless and honorable – proud to fulfill its duties. Unconventionally entertaining and Cage nailed his role! Read Between Two Worlds... it made such an impact on my life, I plan to read it again. June 8, 2019. I would have liked to see him used together with the other enemies encountered later. *My 56th book I've read pertaining to death & afterlife.
